Apple Fanboyism at it’s Best
Have a look at this answers.yahoo.com comment for a prime example of apple fanbyism at it’s best, or should I say worst? It is such a simple question “How do I scan for bad sectors on my MAC’s hard drive?” but the response takes Apple faboyism to a new low..
I must admit I am curious why you would be scanning for bad sectors on a Mac hard drive. I have only seen one Mac, in working on them for 10 years, that had any bad sectors.
Astounding! As I’ve mentioned I was an Apple technician for several years and in that time I replaced hundreds of faulty apple hard drives. In fact it was probably the most common fault and I suspect the reason so many of them were faulty is because even the “premium” macbook pro was commonly fitted with Hitachi and IBM Deskstar hard drives. Look in Google and you will find that these hard drives are at the lower end of hard drive reliability.
The worst part is that the thread is now locked so you can’t leave a rebuttal to this robotic fanboy nonsense, and Yahoo has been pushing this misinformation for over 4 years!
